We lost polymath biologist, musician, and dear friend Jonathan Wright in 2019. For the previous 20 years we had the joy of playing quartets together every week. One of our most satisfying projects was performing all six of Bartok’s quartets. Without any direct quotations, this tribute to Jonathan tips its hat to some of Bartok’s melodies, harmonies, rhythms, and textures.
