"Frozen Questions" is the first movement of a piece for piano trio and electronics. The title is suggested by many of the sonorities in the piece, and by certain stubborn and recurring intervallic structures. The prerecorded relectronics are entirely derived form the sounds of the instruments, mostly the piano in this movement. The piece is gratefully dedicated to the luminous players of the Mojave Trio.
